thanks for the info. Glad he's doing better. I first saw him at a concert in Bristol, England way back in the mid 60s. His name was in tiny letters at the bottom of the bill, no one had ever heard of him. Have been a fan since.

Whoops, I meant 2002 for that first health problem.

He had an "abdominal aortic aneurysm" in 1992, and had 4 surgeries, then he had a minor stroke in 2006. He's now 73 and still playing, but looking pretty thin.

I've been a Gordon Lightfoot fan since 1967. I just borrowed several CDs by him from the local public library here in Edmonton....his music is so refreshing.

I have been a Lightfoot fan since living in Toronto in 1968. I saw him really decline and look really sick for a while. What was the deal, what was going on?
