A residential door is made up with all the beef on the knob/striker/jam side. IE: double bolted, extra long bolts, etc. Next time you can actually whack a real door in an acquired structure, go at it from the opposite side. The hinge side only has 5/8" wood screws threaded into the case. Carry a big tool, like a sledge or TNT tool and knock the bitch off the hinges. You'll find you can walk right thru it. Great video!!! Luckily it was vacant, but still a great knock down!

I think if there was a life hazard, the entry would have been a bit more intense. But giving the circumstances . . . Personally, I would have been a bit embarrassed that it took so long to force a door. But, seriously, the door could have been a bitch and blocked.

There is something very appealing about a man in fire dept uniform running into a burning building. What a brave and selfless act. It wasn't so cool as a kid with a Dad that was a lieutenant and worrying about him getting out of buildings without harm. Wichita Firefighters really don't get paid enough to risk their lives on a daily basis.
