Actually I read some of the Q&A from the movie but not all of it. Interesting about preserving his brain for future DNA testing. That doesn't surprise me about the caller to the TV show not being the zodiac killer. Just someone looking for attention. There is a few discrepanies with the evidence as you have listed but I felt there was enough circumstantial evidence for a conviction (in my humble opinion) although he died before they could start this.

Actually the guy who called the TV wasn't the Zodiac, took that from Q&A about the Zodiac "No recordings were made of the Zodiac's calls to the police. Also, the man who called the TV show claiming to be the Zodiac (as portrayed in David Fincher's movie "Zodiac") was eventually identified. It was proven that he was not the Zodiac"

actually they preserved his brain for future dna testings but they couldnt lift enough dna evidence from the letters or the stamps or envelopes he licked since its been more than 30 years...they lifted palm prints out of the letters but it still doesnt match arthur's. my guess is that arthur did the killing while someone else wrote the letters

They almost did and they know who it was and I believe the case is now closed. Arthur Allan Leigh (Zodiac killer) was the prime suspect and it took 20 some years to finally get an positive ID from one of the surviving victims who easily identified Leigh as the zodiac killer. I think in 1992/93 they were ready to arrest adn bring Allen Leigh in but he died of a heart attack before they could.

It is amazing how these serial killers get off on taunting the police by calling in the murder to 911. The Zodiac killer would actually called into a tv show where the police were expecting him and would try to trace his call but the zodiac would call in only for a limited time to enjoy his fame on TV and to intrigue the public.These guys are feeling like they are invincible and can't get caught as the police have no leads or know which direction to go in with the "no motive" cases.

"...she was a LITTLE UPSET..." We need to follow the Russian's example of dealing with these guys: once convicted, immediately take the prisoner from the courtroom back to his cell, and execute him with a bullet to the back of the head.
