"Music and art transcend politics" well said, I totally agree. I am not really against the Jewish people and thir desire to have a homeland, I just dont like the Zionists treating the innocent Palestinians with such cruelty and injustice. Millions of Palestinians are refugees in their own ancestral land and are abysmally treated everyday.. that is just rediculous.

Haydeh was neither Christian nor Kurd (even though I like both). She was born Ma'sumeh (named after a Shi'ite saint)and her last name was Dadebala (which is an Azeri last name meaning "Little Grandfather"), but her father's family hailed from Tehran. Her sister Mahasti's real name is Khadijeh (named after the Prophet Mohammed's wife).

Hayedeh's sister Mahasti even did a videoclip next to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Music and art transcend politics, and are beyond that. Hayedeh's trip to Israel was not an endorsement of Zionism, neither does the fact that I am a fan of Israeli artist Sarit Hadad mean I support Zionism.

Hayedeh was absolutely amazing. The mere fact that she went to Israel for a concert does not mean that she approved of the atrocities and inhumanities of the Zionists. True Jews are respectable people, and there are many Jews today who are standing up to the ruthless Zionists. Please do not confuse Judaism with Zionism, and do not think that legendary Hayedeh was in any way approving of Zionism
