Protest @ George Kolb's House, City Manager of Wichita, KS

This is a protest at City Manager George Kolb's house in regards to the worst case of illegal dumping ever seen in Wichita, Ks. I will be including some before and after pictures of this soon. A 78 yr old lady who lived next door to a 20 yr old trash dump had complained to the City Of Wichita for over twenty years about a property next door to her that had anything you could Think of. Rats , Possums, roaches etc. The City Of Wichita ignored this problem until a Local community group Sunflower Community Action organized the nieghbors in this block to make this issue visible. After several failed attempts by the city to declare this property an emergency neighbors staged a protest at the doorstep of teh City MAnager Of Wichita who had the power to declare this property an emergency and have it cleaned. The city manager was not at home so the group expressed it's concerns with his wife only to be ignored as well. The members left their message behind by leaving a letter in the door and it's 11 protest signs on his doorstep. The city manager has sinced charged the 78 yr old lady and 3 others in the group with Illegal dumping and criminal trespass. Remember this lady lived next to this dump for twenty years and now she is facing jail time and fines for wanting the city manager to do his job! Kind of ironic don't you think? I must mention that two weeks after the protest the property was cleaned up!
