I shot this with my HD camcorder June 10th, 2007 at 1AM. The video is mostly looking Northeast at the radio towers West of Maize. The real cool lightening starts at 3:13 into the video. The first few minutes has great thunder claps though. Make sure you crank up your speakers! Of course the HD content looks a lot better...

those bolts of lightning were very impressive!! i loved how some of the lightning actually looked like it was coming from the ground. VERY amazing. nice captures. 10/10

i live in vancouver on the west coast, and the last actual thunderstorm we had was mid July, 2000. went for eight hours after sunset i think. i missed it though, i was in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, but I saw the lightning from that far away. i wish i lived in kansas -_-
