A short clip of Louie at the "console of the mighty organ". Recorded in summer '93 while the park was operated by the Nelson family, he's in fine form with head movement working and shutters on the organ all as smooth as butter and the organ sounding sweet thanks to caretaker Damian Mayes magic touch.I wish this clip was longer, especially since the park is closed now after almost 60 years of operation, and Louie may never "play" this fine 100 year old Wurlitzer Mammoth organ again publicly. I may have some longer clips of him somewhere I'll have to see. If I do I will post.

The best memories of Joyland are at the end of the school year. Trade in your grades for ride tickets. Now I have grandchildren in Wichita, but NO JOYLAND for them. Sad, very Sad.

I knew the park was closed before I watched this, so I was prepared for the clown to stop playing and turn its head to look at the camera.. O_O

yeah - if they ever brought back Joyland they should bring back another classic British icon 'Mr Blobby' and have them two play side by side - would be funny to watch Mr Blobby's head move around and his arms go up and down like they were playing the organ as well as Louie
