Thanksgiving - December 25 - Christmas: Lights on the Lake
This year we will be adding several new displays and
thousands of lights and we can't wait to share them with you!
Hop in your
car and drive thru our dazzling displays open 6:00 - 10:00 pm Thursday -
Sunday, Thanksgiving - December 9 and EVERY DAY from December 13 - Christmas.
Donations are not required. All we ask is that you give what you can to
make sure children with special needs have a chance to receive life-changing
therapies through Heartspring Pediatric Services.
Thanksgiving - December 28, 2012: Lights on St.
Over one million lights and still growing! This fantastic
lights extravaganza provides outstanding support for The Arcs programs.
Wonderful new displays will add to this years enjoyment while also
providing new sponsorship opportunities.
Opens every evening at 5:30pm;
Closes 9:00pm (Sunday Thursday), 10:00pm (Friday-Saturday), 11:55pm
(Christmas Eve) Start at the corner of Douglas and St Paul (4 blocks West of
Meridian) in Wichita, KS. Drive north along St Paul and through the parking
lots of The Arc of Sedgwick County and the Independent Living Resource Center
(ILRC), approximately ½ mile of lights!
December 1 - 2, 2012: Festival of Trees
off your holiday season with
Goodwill's Festival of Trees, celebrating our 20th
Anniversary! Browse through the beautiful trees and get in the holiday spirit!
Take family holiday photos! Visit the Reindeer Romp Childrens Area with
crafts, activities, carnival games, cookie decorating, face painting and more.
Meet our Christmas Elf and of course take pictures with Santa! There will be
live entertainment and holiday demonstrations all weekend. Purchase and
decorate an ornament for our military tree. Bid on one of the table top trees
or wreaths or purchase a ticket to win a full size tree for your home!
December 9, 2012: Mannheim Steamroller

December 11, 2012: Wichita Symphony Family Holiday
If you're dreaming of a Musical Christmas, don't miss the
Wichita Symphony's annual Family
Holiday Concert, The Spirit of the Season! It's a perfect way to get in a
cheerful, holiday mood, and it's FREE! Celebrate the sounds of the holiday
season with your favorite Christmas carols and holiday hits performed by your
Wichita Symphony, led by guest conductor Mark Laycock. Also joining the
Orchestra will be vocalist Randolph Lacy and the Butler Community College

December 18, 2011: "A Christmas Carol"
Children's Theatre & Dance Center presents this Charles Dickens classic at

musical with live orchestra and professional cast. Thursday - Sunday matinees

Nov. 25 - Dec. 31, 2011: Illuminations
8:30 p.m. every evening Nov. 25 through Dec. 31, except Dec. 24 and 25.
Botanica's Illuminations, a Holiday Light Extravaganza, will be better than
ever this year. Featuring 700,000 lights in addition to the 5,000 luminaries
and lit themed area, Illuminations is sure to be the best light show in town.
Santa will be at Botanica every evening until Christmas, unless he has an
emergency at the North pole. Music groups will perform inside and out with hot
drinks and snacks available in the cozy Terrace Room. Tickets are available at
