November 26 - December 25, 2009: Lights on the Lake Drive
Thru
Lights on the Lake brings lights, festive decorations and
dozens of lighted holiday displays to Heartsprings beautiful campus each year.
Over 70 displays and the 40 foot tree in the lake. 8700 E. 29th Street
North. There is no charge for the drive thru but donations are encouraged and
will help provide therapies and resources to the children of Heartspring and
their families. Please enter the drive thru from the 29th Street entrance.
Drive thru hours are 6 pm - 10 pm.
November 26 - December 27, 2009: Lights on St.
Paul
Fundraiser for The Arc of Sedgwick County at 2919 W. Second
St. (Enter from St. Paul and Douglas Ave.)
Hundreds of thousands of holiday
light displays for a drive through experience. Sundays-Thursdays, 6-9 pm.;
Fridays and Saturdays, 6-10 p.m.; Christmas Eve, 6-11:55 p.m.
November 27-28, 2009: 25th Annual Christmas Crafts
Expo
Century II Expo Hall. Friday, November 27th, 9am-9pm; and
Saturday, November 28th, 10am-7pm
Celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary,
the Christmas Craft Expo is a cooperative event. The success of the show
depends on the talent, energy, efforts and enthusiasm of the exhibitors! As a
juried craft fair, the Christmas Crafts Expo selects its exhibitors for their
quality. The wonderful variety of crafts will include paintings, quilts, fine
art works, baskets, wood working, ceramics, toys, floral arrangements, stained
glass, dolls, designer clothing, gift items and more! Strolling through the
festival, attendees will see a vast selection of extraordinary work. Festival
visitors have the rare opportunity to actually meet and talk with these
talented artists and craftspeople that have come to Wichita from across the
Mid-west. Our exhibitors love to come back to Wichita every year for this
wonderful venue. Shoppers will find spectacular works of art and craft in all
price ranges for themselves, their homes, and as one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
November 28, 2009: Christmas Express: A Rockin' Holiday
Concert!
7:30 p.m. at the
Orpheum
Theater
This "All Christmas Music" concert features Wichita's own Three
Ring Circus, The Good Guys and The Santa Cats Featuring Karl Berkebile. These
groups will play a wide selection of both popular and religious Christmas music
which will certainly put you in the holiday mood. What better way to kick off
the season - and help children in need of special treatment. All proceeds will
go to benefit the local transportation fund for area children being served by
the Shriners Hospitals.

December 5, 2009: BOWFIRE Holiday Heart

For the very first time, BOWFIRE brings you a very special
edition of their blockbuster stage show, called Holiday Heart Strings.
Celebrate the Festive Season with some of the world’s greatest violinists
and fiddlers performing new arrangements of Holiday classics like Sleigh Ride,
Twelve Days of Christmas, Silent Night and Rockin’ Around the Christmas
Tree.
