downtown Museums on the River district. Experience hands-on exhibit areas
designed for all ages that focus on flight, Kansas, medieval life in a
three-story castle, imaginative spaces for young children and a special
traveling exhibit area. In the CyberDome Theater, travel to faraway
destinations and embark upon unforgettable adventures in the states largest
digital dome space planetarium. Take a breather in the great outdoors at
Exploration Parks picnic grove and adventure play yard. And test your putting
skills during the summer at the 18-hole, unconventional MiniGolf course. Other

Cowtown Museum
History
comes to life!
Historic
17 acre open air living history museum with 35 exhibit areas depicting life in
Wichita and Sedgwick County during the period 1865 to 1880. There are historic
buildings complete with period furnishings, art objects, clothing, industrial
machinery, craft tools, and farm equipment. There is also a living collection
of livestock including longhorn cattle, horses, and Dominique chickens.

started in 1971 with the Children's Farms area has grown to be the No. 1
outdoor family attraction in Kansas.
Navigate along a twisting path, more than a quarter-mile deep into
the wilds of Australia and South America. Discover the magnificent cassowary, a
giant bird weighing in at 130-pounds and standing up to 5-feet tall. Feeling
adventurous? A fifty-foot suspension bridge will take you out of the village
atmosphere of Nganda Island and will immerse you in The Downing Gorilla Forest
reserve. Watch the gorillas as they forage on the hillside, lounge in the shade
