Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is located 6 miles
southwest of Wichita. As the largest airport in the state of Kansas,
Wichita Mid-Continent serves more than one million
passengers a year. The facility is large enough to handle major airlines but
small enough to avoid the confusion of major airports.
Twelve airlines
provide air service to Wichita with non-stop flights to Atlanta, Chicago,
Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Memphis, Minneapolis,
Orlando, Phoenix, and St. Louis.
Fixed-base operators located at Wichita Mid-Continent include
Yingling Aircraft, United Beechcraft, and Executive Aircraft Corporation.
Twelve cargo operators also have facilities at the airport.

 Ground Transportation
The Wichita Transit system currently operates 51 buses and
26 wheelchair lift vans on 18 fixed routes offering bus routes providing
service to within one-quarter mile of 90% of the residents within the city
limits.
Regular routes beginning at the Transit Center (214 S. Topeka)
operate weekdays from 5:45 a.m. through 6:25 p.m., and on Saturdays from 6:45
a.m. through 5:25 p.m. Schedules are available from the Transit Center, City
Hall, Wichita State's CAC.
Downtown Trolley
Service During the week the trolley is a principal form of
transportation for the downtown lunch crowd, ferrying businesspeople through
noontime hurry, from centers of government and finance to eateries from Old
Town to Seneca Street in the River West area.
On Saturdays, the
trolleys run from the Farm & Art Market in Old Town to the Museum District
with stops at Cowtown, Botanica, the Wichita Art Museum, and the Mid-American
All-Indian Center.
