Planning Your Wedding
Your wedding day may be the most important day in your life and you’re sure to want to make it a phenomenal success. You can certainly do that when you now make planning your wedding a top priority. With an effective wedding plan your wedding can be one of those events to be remembered by all your relatives and friends for a long time.
There are hundreds of things that you should be thinking about: the colors, the food, the flowers, the music and the budget are just few. The good thing is that, if you plan everything well, all the arrangements will look like an easy job. You can even make it fun when you know what the most important steps to planning a wedding are.
It is recommended to start the planning six to eight months before the wedding date.
Developing A Plan
The development of your wedding plan needs to be done systematically and thoroughly so that the various steps are accomplished in an orderly fashion without any stress. In planning your dream wedding, try to imagine all the special things that will make your wedding unique to the magical love that you share with your intended.
Get an Early Start with Making A Checklist
The sooner you get started, the better, and you’ll want to first create a checklist of all that needs to be done. Your wedding planning checklist should also be accompanied by a budget plan that outlines the various expenses required to accomplish everything on your wedding planning checklist. Don’t underestimate the importance of this first step. Give it plenty of though and plenty of time. Be sure to consult with your parents, other family members, and friends as they may be able to offer valuable suggestions based on their experience.
The rest of the things should be planned according the budget. After you and your beloved one have decided how much money you are willing to spend, you can start making the guests list. It is important to start with the families and the close friends, and after that, depending on the budget, you can invite other people.
Choose The Venue
Where you plan to hold the wedding ceremony and reception will probably be at the top of your wedding planning checklist. Do you want a church wedding or a civic wedding? Perhaps you’d like to have your wedding in an unconventional and non-traditional place such as a cruise ship or in the mountains or even aboard a plane. If that’s the case, you definately want to start your wedding planning very early.
The Reception
Arrangements for the reception should also begin early in case you want to hire a singer or a musical group for providing live entertainment for your guests. In addition, you want to decide well in advance what you want for food, the wedding cake, the flowers, and the decorations.
The flowers and the floral arrangements will depend on the bride and groom’s preferences. The season and the theme of the wedding could matter in the final choice. Still you should pick up flower arrangements that are within your budget.
Do not forget to rent a ball room or a restaurant for the wedding reception. Sometimes the restaurant needs to be booked up to one year in advance. So avoid any undesired surprises and don’t wait till the last minute to do that. Also, once you have rented a restaurant, discuss the menu. This is an important aspect of any wedding, so choose carefully what food you will serve.
Finalize List Of Invitees
Another important aspect of your wedding planning is to finalize the list of the invitees. You’ll need to plan for wedding invitation cards, sending out the cards to the invited people, and perhaps creating a seating plan.
Other Miscellaneous Arrangements
A few things are not so urgent. Among them is choosing the bride’s dress and the groom’s tuxedo. This doesn’t mean that the clothes are less important, it is just because there are so many specialized stores, and you will have so many choices at your disposal.
You don’t want to overlook some of the other small arrangements that have to be made such as appointments at the hair salons for the bride and the bridesmaids, the rehearsal dinner, gifts for the bridesmaids, distribution of gift lists by the couple, wedding favors, center pieces for the various tables, and plenty of confetti.
Your well thought out wedding plan can go a long way toward guaranteeing the success of your wedding. Of course, there are other things that need to be prepared for the wedding, but once all these important steps are accomplished, everything will be a lot easier.
