5 Star Honeymoon Hotels

There aren’t many things that make us happier than our wedding day or our children, your wedding day should be full of surprises and the attention should be concentrated on you as a couple. Of course there are those that think that the best thing about getting married is the honeymoon.
Many people have their honeymoons given to them as a wedding gift from either parents or close friends but I think that this is something that should really be avoided as a gift if possible as the couple should be the ones to choose their own destination. You’ve probably heard about someone who’s had a terrible experience on their honeymoon, so choosing the right place for the happy couple is vital. many people choose hotels based on the notion that if a hotel has a high star rating that it must be great, but that is not always the case any longer, so lets look at the reasons why.

1)    As the internet grows so do the holiday review sites too, the great thing about this is that more and more people are now logging on to write their own reviews and help each other from going to holidays from hell. Say, for example, you wanted to go for a honeymoon to New York or even the Caribbean; it’s hardly possible to check it out before you go so better to ask some-one who’s been recently and can tell you what they found.

2) The rating system isn’t universal, many countries have their own standards which may not be consistent with anybody elses. This means a five star hotel in one country could be the same as a two star hotel in another. You should always ensure that you are sure you know what the star rating means for each hotel you are thinking of staying in.

Do be sure and choose the best hotel you can because your honeymoon should be a once in a lifetime experience. It’s a good idea to read reviews of the places you’re thinking of going to before you book your trip, forewarned is forearmed and if there are any negative reviews then you will possibly be able to contact the reviewer and ask them for a few more details.
