A Few Tips for Planning the Wedding
With the cost of a wedding going higher and higher every day, planning the wedding also becomes more and more important. The average cost of a wedding today is somewhere between $20000 and $25000. The wedding industry has already crossed the magical figure of $25 billion. However, you need not worry if you have a limited budget and still want your wedding should be a unique event.
It is not necessary to hire the best photographer in the town to make your wedding a special event. Your wedding ceremony is no less special if you are not wearing the most expensive wedding gown. Neither does an elegant-looking invitation card make your wedding a special event. All you need is some tips and advise on planning the wedding so that when the big day comes every thing goes smoothly according to your wishes.
What about choosing a destination for your wedding?
Many people reject the idea at first because they feel that it is impractical. However, if you have an open mind and do your research thoroughly, you can find many places that offer an affordable package deal on wedding. Some of the extra ordinary resorts double the enjoyment of your wedding by lowering the room tariffs, if you hold your wedding at their resort. Imagine getting married near a waterfall, on the sea beach or on an inactive volcano and that too at an all-inclusive price. Entertainment with drink and meals at affordable prices may stop you from going anywhere else for the honeymoon.
The second tip that can bring down the wedding cost is regarding your wedding dress. First of all remember, you will not wear this dress again after the wedding ceremony. A very good alternative is to use the wedding dress of your grandmother or mother after making the necessary alterations. You might also buy otherwise very expensive dresses at very reduced prices from ‘Off the Rack’ sales.
Cutting down the guest list is a third and perhaps hardest of all the tips to bring down expenses on your wedding. Some people make two guest lists. First list is the bigger one meant for the ceremony, while the second list is smaller one, which is meant for the dinner. Alternatively, you may throw a formal ceremony and dinner for selected few, and invite every body for a big picnic the very next day.
