Major 10 Marriage Speech Etiquette Guidelines
For modern marriages there aren’t any stern rules as to who should speak at the reception. The following folks may speak at a wedding: Dad or Mum of the bride, the best man, the maid of honor, a groom, the bride, parents-in-law, and bridesmaids. 7. Don’t drink more than a glass or two of alcohol before the speech.
8. Avoid any “sore” subjects like a recent death in the family.
9. Always stand when delivering the toast.
10. Don’t hit a glass with a spoon to gain attention. It is more respectful to stand and hold your glass and wait for silence.
